Smartphone owners are all too familiar with broken screens, and the high cost of repairs, which can stretch into the hundreds of dollars, just adds to the misery. However, for $50 or less, you can do the job yourself with screen repair kits that include all of the necessary parts and equipment.
Depending on how it's made, repairing a broken screen can be either easy and inexpensive or incredibly costly.
You'll need to disassemble your computer in both situations (guides for many popular phones can be found below).
Using the end of a cotton swab or a clean, soft rag, dab a small amount of toothpaste. Gently massage the screen with the cotton swab or cloth in circular motions until the scratch disappears. To clear any leftover toothpaste, clean your screen with a slightly dampened cloth.
