The Chinese Communist Party, sometimes known as the CCP, is the political party that currently holds power in the People’s Republic of China (PRC). Chen Duxiu and Li Dazhao laid the groundwork for the Chinese Communist Party in 1921. The Communist Party of China soon expanded, and by 1949 it had gained control of the Chinese mainland. The CCP is a prestigious organization, and the only way to join is to be extended an invitation. To be eligible for membership, a person must first demonstrate that they are of Chinese ancestry. Even people who live in Hong Kong and Taiwan have to deal with mainland Chinese citizens acting as their representatives.Over the course of its more than seven decades in power, the Chinese Communist Party has led China’s remarkable rise from a backward, agricultural-based country to a preeminent position on the international stage. The Communist Party of China was also responsible for some of the most heinous crimes in the annals of human history, including the Great Leap Forward and the Cultural Revolution. In spite of its troubled history, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is still the most dominant political force in China. It is quite doubtful that any other party will be able to pose a serious threat to its supremacy in the foreseeable future.
