Cathay Pacific: Building Cathay City on Reclaimed Land

Cathay Pacific, a Hong Kong-based passenger and cargo airline, created Cathay City, a reclaimed piece of land that serves as a central location for its employees to work. The city cost $5.6 billion to create and is one of Hong Kong's greatest aviation-related projects.

It is also the most significant private investment made by a Hong Kong corporation. There is a training academy, a hotel, and office space for 8,000 people in the city. The project was finished in 1998.
