A single lot of 30 bottles of Dom Pérignon Rosé Enothèque, which had never been publicly released previously, was sold at a record price in a wine auction organised by Sotheby's in Hong Kong in May of 2010. The auction was held to raise funds for a charitable organisation. The winning offer of $170,641 at the auction in Hong Kong set a new record for the highest price ever paid for a single quantity of champagne at auction.
As a way to commemorate the 100th year since the founding of the House of Dom Pérignon, the Rosé Enothèque version of Dom Pérignon was developed in 1996.
