HK Library Holds Porn in Arts Centre

Pornographic material can be found in the Arts Resource Centre of the Hong Kong Central Library. The collection, which includes both written and visual elements, was created in response to public demand. It is one of Asia's largest collections of its sort, and academics and researchers from around the globe use it.

Hugh Hefner, the creator of Playboy, Bob Guccione, the creator of Penthouse, and adult film star Jenna Jameson are just a few of the most well-known artists in the collection. The works by lesser-known creators and artists are also included, giving a complete picture of the evolution of pornography. Some members of the public have argued that the collection shouldn't be kept at a public library, which has caused controversy about it.

The staff of the library contends that it serves as a valuable tool for study and education and is subject to the same stringent censorship regulations as other library resources.
