Hong Kong Halloween Fruit & Money Burning

In Hong Kong, Halloween is a popular event, and one of the traditions is to burn pictures of fruit and money.

The practise is claimed to have originated when the Chinese burned paper money as a gift to the deceased. It is now regarded as a means of bringing good fortune and success to oneself and one's family.

Many people believe that the more money you spend, the better your luck will be in the future year.
