In Hong Kong, travelling with your four-legged friend on the MTR is completely acceptable! Because of this, pet owners have the opportunity to bring their four-legged companions on public transport with them, which is a wonderful benefit. This legislation is very recent, as in the past passengers travelling by public transit were not permitted to bring their dogs. However, as of recent years, the government has reversed its position and now permits passengers to bring their dogs on public transportation as long as the animals are adequately contained.
This is a really positive development for the protection of animals in Hong Kong.
