Battling Nuclear Terror with Timothy Dalton in Asia

Although Timothy Dalton's third James Bond movie was ultimately scrapped, the script for the film, which was named The Property of a Lady, depicted Bond traveling to Hong Kong, Japan, and mainland China to fight a nuclear terrorist equipped with a lethal computer virus. The film was ultimately canceled. It is interesting to note that the script, which was written by seasoned Bond writer John Glen, was finished prior to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

This fact makes it one of the first Hollywood films to deal with terrorism in a world after 9/11.Even though the screenplay was ultimately scrapped, it's still fascinating to speculate about what may have happened had the movie been produced. Would it have been a prescient look at the state of terrorism in the future, or would it have been an antiquated remnant of a bygone era? We'll never find out, but it's an intriguing what-if scenario anyway.
