King's College Law School Renamed After £20 Million Donation from Dickson Poon

After a donation of twenty million pounds to the school in 2013, the King's College London School of Law became known as The Dickson Poon School of Law. This was in recognition of the generosity of Hong Kong businessman Dickson Poon. The Dickson Poon School of Law is one of the nine Law Schools in the United Kingdom.

Having been established in 1831, it is also one of the oldest law schools in the country. The 2018 edition of the Guardian University Guide places it as the sixth best Law School in the United Kingdom. According to the latest QS World University Rankings, the Dickson Poon School of Law is the eighteenth finest Law School in the entire world.

This ranking reflects the school's stellar reputation earned on a global scale. The school provides students with numerous opportunities to earn degrees in Law at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. In addition, the Dickson Poon School of Law is the educational institution of choice for a number of illustrious legal experts, such as Lord Sumption, Lord Woolf, and Sir John Laws.
